Bella Ramsey’s Remarkable Transformation From ‘Game of Thrones’ to ‘The Last of Us’ Three Years Later
Bella Ramsey, the child actress who won millions of hearts as Lyanna Mormont from the star series Game of Thrones, has come of age and is now all set to take on one of the biggest acting challenges of her career with the premiere of The House of the Dragon.
The 19 year old British actress first rose to fame when she appeared in Game of Thrones in 2016, when she was just 10 years old. She quickly won the hearts of many with her determination, courage and clarity of priorities. After many characters, memes, palace intrigues and dragons, her character made a lasting impression.
Although she has played a part in other audiovisual projects such as The Worst Witch and voiced the main character in Hilda, her most ambitious project is The Last of Us, a science fiction series set to release on HBO Max in January 2021. This post-apocalyptic drama, based on the popular video game series of the same name, stars Bella Ramsey playing the lead role of Ellie.
The show’s creator, Craig Mazin, worked closely with Neil Druckman, creator of the game, to bring the story to life. In the series, Bella stars alongside Pedro Pascal as Joel, another survivor of an apocalypse caused by a virus that infects humanity. The duo venture out of the oppressive quarantine to find a cure and save the world.
It will be interesting to see how this beloved character has grown and evolved over the years as we watch Bella Ramsey take on a brand new challenge.
