The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been struck by a tragedy. An attack on January 15th, 2023 has left eleven dead, reported Delphin Mupanda, spokesperson for Beni’s civil society, after a religious service in the town of Kasindi-Luvirihya.
The town is situated between the DRC and Uganda, 85 kilometers away from the city of Beni and in the North Kivu province. Mupanda, in a phone interview with EFE, has cautioned that the number of casualties is provisional as victims have been transferred to several health centers.
EFE 2023 has reported that redistribution and redistribution of the contents of the Efe services is strictly prohibited. The spokesperson has said the number might still increase as they complete the rounds of all health centers.
This is a tragedy of immense proportions and, for now, eleven casualties are reported dead. My thoughts and prayers are with the DRC, their families and everyone affected by this tragedy.
