Sony’s highly anticipated game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, may be released in September this year, according to Tony Todd, the voice actor for Venom in the game. Previously it had only been confirmed that the game would be out in the fall of 2023. Todd took to Twitter to share a photo of himself working on motion capture, and when asked for more details on the sequel, he replied that “Looks like it’s going to be in September! And the massive publicity in August. I’m told the announcements start that month. Hold on tight …and hold your breath! It’s going to be necessary.” Although Sony did not respond to IGN’s request for comment, it’s worth noting that Todd’s information came directly from someone working on the game. Insomniac Games, the developers of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, had previously confirmed that the game would be released in 2023 for PlayStation 5. The game will follow the most epic adventure of Peter Parker and Miles Morales to date. Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales are currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
