Lance Reddick, a beloved actor known for his iconic roles in The Wire, John Wick, and several video games, has passed away at the age of 60. His representatives confirmed the news to IGN, stating that Reddick died suddenly from natural causes. The actor will be deeply missed by his loved ones, colleagues, and fans.

Reddick’s most notable role was that of Cedric Daniels in The Wire, a critically acclaimed series that he starred in from 2002 to 2008. He also appeared in several John Wick films as Charon and recently toured for John Wick 4, where he was set to reprise his role. Reddick had an extensive career in film and television, with appearances in Lost, Oz, and the Amazon Prime series Bosch, among others.

Apart from his acting career, Reddick also had a prominent presence in the world of video games. He played Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn, Commander Zavala in the Destiny franchise, and Martin Hatch in Quantum Break. The actor even portrayed Albert Wesker in the live-action Resident Evil series.

Reddick had several projects in the works before his untimely passing, including a role in the upcoming Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians and a part in Amazon Prime’s The Legend of Vox Machina.

Before becoming an actor, Reddick studied music at the University of Rochester, New York, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama in 1994.
