California to distribute more stimulus checks to residents in 2023

California has been one of the states in the United States that has provided the most economic benefits to its inhabitants throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The state has been distributing stimulus checks, which have been one of the most successful across the country. The economic benefit is still being distributed in California, and its residents can earn between $200 and $1,050, which will help many of them to meet their basic food basket payments.

The one-time payments began to be issued in October 2022 as part of the Middle Class Tax Rebate (MCTR) and will continue through January 2023. According to California state officials, $8,399,171,700 has been refunded since last week, benefiting millions of residents.

The California Franchise Tax Board announced that a new date has been scheduled for the payment of the Stimulus Checks. Since the payments that were to end at the end of January were delayed, the following date scheduled for the round of shipments of the debit card was for February 14. The beneficiary would receive his check two weeks later, except for an exception of direct deposits that will arrive at the end of January. There is also a group that changed their personal information so that their checks would be sent by the end of February or until March 1.

The beneficiaries will receive their payment via direct deposit or debit card. Californians who electronically filed their 2020 tax return and received their refund via direct deposit will receive their payment in the same way. The California Franchise Tax Board said other recipients will receive payment by mail in the form of a debit card if certain conditions apply.

In conclusion, California is making efforts to continue supporting its residents during these difficult times. If you are a resident in California, check if you are eligible for the stimulus check and ensure that you have provided the necessary information to receive it.
