Rocket Attack Leaves 15 Dead, 20 Missing in Dnipro, Ukraine
On Saturday, January 17 of 2023, a missile fired from a Russian plane hit a residential building in Dnipro, Ukraine. The statement released on Telegram by the head of the national Police, Ihor Klymenko said, “20 people are still missing, 4 of them children. 15 dead have not been identified.”
According to the latest data, 39 people were successfully rescued and 44 people were killed in the attack, including 5 children, while 79 people were injured, including 16 children. Of the 79, 5 children were left orphaned and 3 of them were taken under the guardianship of relatives, while the other 2 were taken under the guardianship of the State.
Search and rescue work at the site of the missile impact ended around 1:00 pm (11:00 GMT) and of the forty-seven reported missing, 23 were identified amongst the fatalities and four were found alive by relatives at local hospitals.
