“Learn how National Weather Service meteorologists observe and forecast the weather, using both modern technology (satellites) and time-tested techniques (local weather spotters).

Louise Fode is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the National Weather Service Anchorage Forecast Office. She has a B.S. degree in Geography from The Ohio State University, and a M.S. in Science Management from the University of Alaska — Anchorage. Although Louise has 14 years of experience forecasting Alaska weather, it still manages to surprise her on a routine basis!”
