Every week, I’m going to feature adoptable pets and events surrounding pet adoption from across Alaska. To the best of my knowledge, each of these pets are still available, and I encourage you to follow the links to find out more about these animals and the shelters that are caring for them.
Before we get to the cute, let’s talk about a pup that needs some serious help. From the Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue:
Hi friends and family , Today Canine Comfort, Inc. And Alaska Dog and Puppy are teaming up to help Tixie. Tixie is flying in from Aniak to have a very large tumor removed. This poor doggie needs to have a better quality of life . Help us,
help this dog by making a donation for her medical care . Donations can be made at www.akdogandpuppyrescue.com or directly to the Palmer vet clinic.
Now, on to the cute and needing of homes!

Active and energetic, friendly and playful, Koko is 4 years old. Her former owners can’t keep her. She’s intelligent, sits nicely for her treats and takes them gently, and enjoys being with people. Kennel-trained, rides fine in the car, and likes playing “tug”. She needs a special diet due to a skin condition common to this breed. Classic good looks!
