Every week, I’m going to feature adoptable pets and events surrounding pet adoption from across Alaska. To the best of my knowledge, each of these pets are still available, and I encourage you to follow the links to find out more about these animals and the shelters that are caring for them.
Alaska’s Extended Life Animal Sanctuary

Chachi
Chachi

Chachi is still a big puppy. He could be 1-2 years. He loves to play and wrestle with other dogs. He will chase and catch rabbits, birds, squirrels, hamsters and other small animals. He must have the room to run and not bother anyone or a fenced yard. No main street homes. Click here to find out how to bring Chachi home so he can chase things around your place.

Forrest
Forrest

Please meet Forrest, an adult, neutered male, domestic shorthair mix cat. Exceptionally good-natured and very easy-going, Forrest appreciates any attention, but isn’t at all demanding or needy. This sleek fellow rolls onto his side and back when you pet him, soaking in all of your attention and affection. If he’d like some loving and you aren’t paying attention, he may give you a light, little tap of his paw on your leg or hand, just in case you forgot he was there (adorable)! He’s been previously declawed. Forrest much prefers petting to playing, and finding a comfy spot for a nap is a favorite pastime. A real charmer! Click here to find out how to bring this charmer home.

Cindy
Cindy

Cindy is a 6 year old Italian Greyhound female. She’s a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She loves to go for rides! Cindy is house trained and even goes outside in the winter. She does well with older children and would love to have someone to snuggle with. Cindy loves to be dressed up as it’s a little chilly for her during the winter. If you’re looking for an affectionate, devoted little girl, Cindy just may be the companion for you. Click here to find out if Cindy is the right companion for you.

Zander
Zander

This is Zander. There’s not a description available for Zander, but he’s a Great Dane, which means that he will probably like to sit on your furniture. And you. And probably you on your furniture. It will be awesome! Click here to find out how to bring Zander home.
