One Night Only: Marian Call Returns to Anchorage [VIDEO]

Friday night, Marian Call returns to Anchorage for one night only. We think it’s the place to be.
If you haven’t seen Marian, see her. If you haven’t heard her music, start. Witty, historical tales of unpleasant gentlemen, annual Discovery channel promotional event-themed sing-a-longs, reflections on scary airplane flights, and endlessly more, are seamlessly woven into foot-thumping anthems, wistful lullabies, and contemplative streams of thought. Complete with a typewriter to help us all keep time.
It’s really fun.
Alaska Commons caught up with Marian a couple of months ago for an impromptu show at the Horn Doctor, where she played through numerous fan favorites as well as previewing a good chunk of new material. Here’s a glimpse:

Marian Call will be playing this Friday night, with local-musician-made-of-awesome Seth Boyer, at Anchorage City Limits: 239 W. 4th Ave, in Anchorage (the old Holiday Inn on 4th and C). The show is all ages, and doors open at 7pm. $10 for an evening that is guaranteed to make you feel good. Trust us on that one.
