[Update] Lt. Governor Mead Treadwell confirmed through his Facebook page today that he will be exploring the option of running against U.S. Senator Mark Begich in 2014.
“Today, I had a chance to dine with Fairbanks Republicans at Denny’s. I announced that I am exploring the possibility of running for the US Senate nomination in 2014. This is an exploration announcement, not a candidacy, and I have plenty to do to help Alaska in my current job: I support our Governor’s efforts to expand production in Alaska.
